M.A.C’s Sugarsweet collection is for the cupcake ingénue who’s caught the sweet spot this season.

Picure this – luscious whipped cream, decorative frosting in shocking colours and rainbow-coloured sprinklies atop a plain-looking piece of soft dough that is oh-so-perfect for tea…it’s like peering through the window of a patisserie! And ever since Wondermilk’s Cuppacakes burst into the local scene three years ago, we’ve been catching those pretty, edible creations just about everywhere. This time around, M.A.C makes no exception as one of their latest collections is based on, get this – temptingly delicious cupcakes! Aptly called Sugarsweet, this collection features extra-yummy products from tri-colour lipglosses to pastel-pretty eye shadows. Our must haves? If you’re going to London any time soon, make a trip down to Selfridges on Oxford Street. Giorgio Armani has unveiled his newest ad campaign, which covered the entire front façade of Selfridges and the model is none other than David Beckham … in his trunks! Thousands of Londoners turned up to meet him when he turned up for the event and some lucky fans even had a chance meet him! Jealous!

Discovered Czip Lee Plus+ in Bangsar, across from Bangsar Village 2 on the same row with the 7Eleven (diagonally across from the main Czip Lee store). It has the largest collection of Moleskine notebooks I’ve seen in the country and lot of other very chic-looking writing accessories too. Whether you write or not, a good-looking notebook is the brainy fashionista’s secret weapon.

The Cartier Loveday celebration was apparently the place to be in June. All the top fashion mag journos were there and I learnt one important fashion lesson. Never carry your work bag to cocktails, no matter how rushed you were that day and had no time to change. Always tote an evening-appropriate clutch with you for those after-work dos.

Went to a Raymond Weil event at Fukuya. I had a good look at the newly launched noemia collection. It’s named after Mr Raymond Weil’s granddaughter, Noémi Bernheim. Love the one with the magenta/purple croc strap. Very pretty. The metal straps are very elegant, too.

1960s was an interesting decade for hairstyles and ELLE Hair Studio’s ‘Aurora’ collection pays tribute to that.

During those days, women started out with big, poof-y hair before moving on to simpler hairstyles as their roles in the society changed.
