Hands up if you switched off the lights during the recent Earth Hour – give yourself a pat on the back if you did and for those who didn’t, well…make a pledge to do it next year! In the world of beauty, exactly how can you stay green when you’re constantly purchasing products? Take baby steps, because they matter. Sure, the idea of chaining yourself to a tree or joining a protest rally seems romantic, but simple acts of buying organic soaps or moisturisers in recyclable jars…or by just bringing your own canvas bag when you’re out shopping for makeup are all realistic goals you can set for yourself and actually achieve. This year I plan to recycle ALL my beauty containers and only buy or use organic or eco-certified beauty products. It’s going to be tough, but it’s all slowly coming together. Organic products aren’t known for being cheap, but tough competition between brands has caused huge price reductions. So what say you?
