Staying green is easy, with a bit of effort
Thursday, 01/04/2010

Hands up if you switched off the lights during the recent Earth Hour – give yourself a pat on the back if you did and for those who didn’t, well…make a pledge to do it next year! In the world of beauty, exactly how can you stay green when you’re constantly purchasing products? Take baby steps, because they matter. Sure, the idea of chaining yourself to a tree or joining a protest rally seems romantic, but simple acts of buying organic soaps or moisturisers in recyclable jars…or by just bringing your own canvas bag when you’re out shopping for makeup are all realistic goals you can set for yourself and actually achieve. This year I plan to recycle ALL my beauty containers and only buy or use organic or eco-certified beauty products. It’s going to be tough, but it’s all slowly coming together. Organic products aren’t known for being cheap, but tough competition between brands has caused huge price reductions. So what say you?

Check out these eco-friendly buys:

MADARA DECO BODY FLOWER DUST SHIMMERING MOISTURISING LOTION, RM138

L’OCCITANE EN PROVENCE SHOWER CREAM WITH ORGANIC OLIVE TREE EXTRACTS, RM73

TNS SKIN L@B NATURE’S LAB REFRESHING BODY WHIP, RM98

Japan, I’m in love…
Tuesday, 23/03/2010

Ever since I watched Beautiful Life starring the oh-so-gorgeous Takuya Kimura, I’ve wanted to visit Japan. So imagine my excitement when Seema sent me on an assignment to Tokyo recently. I had extra days to play tourist, so I met up with my Japanese friends and dragged them along for a tour of Tokyo and Kyoto! Somewhere along the way, I was introduced to the love of my life…the yummylicious Kitsune Udon. It’s a bowl of pure happiness on a cold winter’s day. Ahhh…

Footballer sensation Cristiano Ronaldo is the latest face for Emporio
Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. The advertising campaigns were shot on
location Madrid by renowned fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus
Piggott. Giorgio Armani said, "Cristiano is a great looking man with the
perfect physique of an athlete.  For me, he is the essence of  youth -
spontaneous, exciting, a real maverick. It is for his energy that I have
chosen Cristiano to become the new face of Armani Jeans and Emporio Armani
Underwear - for his youthful, exciting and yes, sexy, attitude." We couldn't
agree more!
