One of the most powerful approaches to preventing cruelty to animals is Education and Seventeen had a special and informative wildlife focus in its May issue this year.
The magazine took it one step further when it held a jumble sale of clothes, skincare and various merchandise outside SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) in Ampang. All funds raised went directly to SPCA to help with the maintenance of the shelter and the well-being of the animals under its care.
Seventeen also had the company of four Girl Crew members who came and played with the animals for some much needed TLC; they also helped out with the jumble sale.
At the end of four hours, the team managed to raise over RM1000. Indeed, it’s a small, but good start in reconnecting people and animals to create a better world for all.
