The popular women’s titles, Her World, Female and Marie Claire published by Blu Inc Mediaclinched Gold, Silver and Bronze for the best covers, thus dominating the Women’s English Language category. Of the 14 publishers’ entries that were shortlisted in the MPA  Magazine Awards ’11, Blu Inc walked away with the most (16 awards),  followed by Life Publishers (7) and Catcha  (6).

Held yearly for the last five years, the awards were presented, according to the organizing chairman MV Swaminathan, to “recognize the publishing industry’s best cover initiatives, giving recognition to editorial teams who work uncompromisingly towards achieving international standards for their titles”. A panel of six judges from the academic, creative and brand communications industry narrowed down the 49 finalists from 182 entries for this 5th  MPA  Magazine Awards, held on the 10th November 2011.
