How
has winning the title - seventeen Cover Girl changed
or impacted you?
Winning
the title of the seventeen Cover Girl is a dream come true!
I admired the past winners and am honoured I had the chance
to be one of the Cover Girl’s. It opened so many doors
for me in the aspects of modelling, and it acted as a launch
into that industry. It was not only “a good experience”,
but will always remain an experience I’ll never forget.
It changed me for the better, as I think I carry more confidence
than before. It gave me hope, and because I won it, I believed
I could do more.

What
are you currently pursuing?
Currently,
I’m taking my Foundation in Communication at Taylors.
It’s my first Semester, and it’s been great! Hectic,
a little stressing, but awesome! :-) I’m also doing freelance
modelling, but Im concentrating on my studies more.
3.
What
is your motto?
“It
is better to try and fail, than to never have tried at all.”
4.
Who
is your idol? Why?
My
idol would have to be both my parents, but I’ll just pick
my Dad. I know it sounds cliché, but my dad is the strongest
person I know. The sacrifices he made, the turmoil he went through
to be where he is today, the heartache he endures for us, his
kids, without uttering a complaint, and his unconcidtional love
for not only his family but for all people shows me what a man
should be. He is an example of what I can only hope to be.

the ride. When the time comes, get out there and rock the stage!
Be the craziest and the loudest you can be, and just go wild.
:-) This is the time of your life, so live it to the fullest.
Take as many pictures as you can!! ;) Just have fun. All the

How
has winning the title - seventeen Cover Girl changed
or impacted you?
Winning
this seventeen Cover Girl has led
me to fantastic adventures and experiences. It gives me a lot
of exposure and publicity and now people address me The seventeen
Cover Girl instead of Jen, BUT I am still the ordinary next
door girl :-) P/S: the prizes are amazing!*WinkSs*
2.
What
are you currently pursuing?
I'm
currently pursuing my dual major degree, Marketing and Management
(U.S program) at Inti College in Subang (2nd year) and also
modelling and singing part-time.
3.
What
is your motto?
a)
Impossible is I'm possible.
b) You are never too old to learn something new
c) When life hands you lemon, make it lemonade.
4.
Who
is your idol? Why?
Actually
this is the toughest question. I've been thinking a lot and
couldn't come up with anyone. Therefore, I would have to say
that it’s my mother, for giving me a life.

How
has winning the title - seventeen Cover Girl changed
or impacted you?
Winning
gave me a heightened sense of confidence and it exposed me to
many new things and people. It taught me that in order to excel
in anything or anywhere I must have a pretty high level of confidence
besides carrying myself well in public :)
2.
What
are you currently pursuing?
I
just got my SPM results so I'm actually doing my Pre-Medicine
degree in Penang. Oh and I just did an attachment at the local
hospital for some JPA scholarship thing and honestly, I can't
wait to be a full fledged doctor!
3.
What
is your motto?
If
i had to choose a motto it would be 'It's not the years in your
life but the life in your years that count'. I always make sure
I live each moment to it's fullest and make sure I consult God
and family members before embarking on anything huge. So yea,
making this my motto ensures that my life is filled to the brim
with fun-filled experiences and joyous moments which makes life
all the sweeter.
4.
Who
is your idol? Why?
My
idol would definitely have to be my mum. I think being a mother
would definitely have to be one of the hardest jobs around.
Having raised me single-handedly makes her, to me, all the more
capable and amazing. My mum always taught me to be independent
and to always try my best at everything I do. Basically everything
I have achieved today I accredit it all to God and my mum. Even
the Cover Girl contest. Initially, I was unsure about entering
the competition considering my best friend, Gillian won the
year before. But my mum encouraged me and said I wouldn't know
until I tried. I'm pretty thankful she pushed me to join it!
haha. Oh and my mum taught me to be the vain girly-girl that
I am today. haha. So GO MUM! ;)

Any
advice for the 2008 candidates?
Advice?
haha. Umm, it'll probably be to not worry about the outcome
and just have fun meeting all the new people and the other girls
you're gonna meet. Oh and enjoy all the goodies you're gonna
get even if you don't win! Another thing, don't take the contest
too seriously coz it's all about fun fun fun! :D

How
has winning the title - seventeen Cover Girl changed
or impacted you?
It’s
been almost three years since I was on that October cover! Wow,
how time flies!! It feels like just yesterday that I was all
excited (and nervous) about the photo shoot. Wining the title
has been one of the greatest experience and privilege of my
life. It’s great to look back and be really proud of the courage
I had to take on the competition. I’ve grown a lot since then-
in many different ways and the Cover Girl win was most definitely
a confident-booster! Just knowing that I am capable enough to
win the title by completely being myself is a great enough reward
and this has really contributed in shaping the person that I
am today. But, having said that, I am still the same person
I was back in 2005 with the same aspirations, hopes and dreams.
What has changed is that I am even more confident that I can
achieve my goals by believing in myself at this very moment.
Plus, many people didn’t even recognise me on that cover!!!
2.
What
are you currently pursuing?
At
the end of 2006, I decided to pursue my dream of studying abroad
and so I packed my bags and flew to the land down under. This
is my second year here in Sydney and I am currently half-way
through Year 12 in an Australian high school. My main focus
at the moment is the HSC (big-scary-exam) at the end of this
year and to do my very best. Whatever comes after that is for
me to think about in the future.
3.
What
is your motto?
I’m
very much about living in the now. No worries about the future,
no regrets about the past. Just living in the moment is what’s
fulfilling; carpe diam.
4.
Who
is your idol? Why?
As
far as high aspirations are concerned, Richard Branson. He left
school to start a business when he was 15!! I’m all about people
who work their way to the top. But the one person who keeps
me motivated every single day has got to be my mum. I would
be slacking off a lot more if it weren’t for her warm and encouraging
advice
5.
Any advice for the 2008 candidates?
Yes!
Be yourself! Everyone is different in their own unique way.
The most important thing is to embrace your individuality. That’s
what my dad told me on the day of my first shoot! Other than
that, make the most of this experience and have a lot of fun!
It’s a true privilege.
